Clare Haig
Clare Haig is the founder of Cycles Sud-Ouest.
She has a French bike leader qualification and is happy to advise and assist you in organising your cycling adventures.
Originally from England, she knows the Lot-et-Garonne perfectly.
Thomas Giroud
Thomas joined us for work experience back in 2023 and is about to start his third season with us!
He loves mountain biking and will be able to advise you on the best bike for your next adventure!
Our history
CLARE AND JEAN-PIERRE
Clare came to France in 2014 after several years working as a management consultant at Accenture in London.
She and her husband Jean-Pierre have always loved outdoor activities, especially cycling. In Lot-et-Garonne there are beautiful landscapes, small country roads, the Canal de Garonne bike path, sunshine and of course delicious local wine! So the idea of running a bicycle hire company seemed to fit!
In 2017, the business started small with just 5 bikes. Now there are 70, and the shop in the garage has now moved to a proper building in the centre of the village. The aim of Cycles Sud-Ouest is to provide quality bicycles and excellent customer service to all of our customers.
Clare and her team are passionate about sharing their enthusiasm for cycling and the Lot-et-Garonne, and always with a smile.
